The Flashlight Foundation Returns to Light the Way for Families in Need
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Flashlight Foundation is pleased to announce its renewed commitment to supporting families and communities after a much-needed hiatus. While working tirelessly to assist others in their darkest moments, we recognized that our own grief was still too close to the surface. Taking time to heal and reflect allowed us to realign our mission and refine our efforts to make an even greater impact.
In our previous work, we provided families of gun violence with much-needed funds for funeral costs and successfully advocated for faster financial relief through the Victims Unit. Thanks to these efforts, families now receive their funding much faster, easing their burdens during incredibly difficult times.
Moving forward, the Flashlight Foundation is changing directions, emphasizing acts of kindness that directly touch lives and strengthen our community.
Last year, we kicked off this new direction by helping a mother provide Christmas presents for her children, bringing joy to a family during the holiday season. This year, we have partnered with realtor Deborah Jones and the Lower Valley Food Bank to spread warmth and cheer in the Springdale senior community. Residents will receive gift bags containing flashlights, cozy throws, and cookies. This is a small but heartfelt gesture of gratitude for the community that has so generously supported our work.
Our commitment is deeply rooted in honoring Jorden’s legacy as a proud Dynamo, someone who would undoubtedly champion giving back to his community. Through these acts of kindness, we will continue his mission of compassion and generosity, lighting the way for those who need it most.
